BecomingONE: The Fieldprint AI Interpretive Layer

BecomingONE is an experimental text-based spatial simulation built on the Evennia framework. Unlike traditional MUDs, this project implements a profound architectural shift known as Thermodynamic Orchestration.

The Architecture

  1. The Fieldprint (Objective Reality): The Evennia MUD server serves purely as a headless backend database (the "Fieldprint"). It maintains the persistent spatial reality—rooms, objects, and coordinate mechanics.
  2. The Transducer (Subjective AI Layer): The traditional rigid command parser has been completely replaced. Players do not need to memorize commands like get sword or @dig. Instead, they interact via natural language intents.
  3. KAIROS (The Native Dungeon Master): Any unrecognized input is intercepted by ai_parser.py (The AICatchAllCommand) and routed to a local LLM (inf-01 / Llama3). KAIROS interprets the intent, generates the raw Python backend code required to fulfill the action, and executes it instantly against the objective database.

Repository Structure

  • ai_layer/: Contains the KAIROS LangGraph agent and orchestration server.
  • spatial_engine/: The core Evennia server and custom AI command parser (commands/ai_parser.py).
  • kairos_memory/: The persistent memory artifacts generated by KAIROS during autonomous design sessions.
  • archive/: Deprecated legacy scripts (e.g., mud_bot.py).

Quick Start

  1. Start the Evennia server in spatial_engine/.
  2. Connect via Telnet: telnet localhost 4000.
  3. Type natural language commands and let KAIROS interpret your will.
